i think i found my new alarm clock (and then some). Chumby is a mini-computer that ultimately is a dumb terminal which pipes content straight from the web onto a small touch screen. It’s a great idea for a bedroom or a kitchen where you only need access to specific limited data.

Joost - now in public beta. I’ve been using it on and off, and with each iteration it gets a bit smoother and cooler. More importantly, they keep adding content - while still not everything I would want, a few channels (like mtv) are putting a lot of stuff up (i guess to see if anything sticks). hopefully it will, and hopefully they’ll be some stuff worth watching soon.
